Cashmere Scarf (Nepalese)
A simple, nature-inspired piece designed to bring warmth and quiet character to the home.
Woven slowly in the Himalayas for warmth, movement, and quiet daily ritual.
Softly woven in the Nepalese Himalayas, this artisan-crafted cashmere blend scarf brings together warmth, heritage, and enduring craftsmanship in a piece designed for everyday wear.
Handwoven by women artisans using traditional foot-operated looms, each scarf is crafted from an 80% cashmere and 20% cotton blend that balances remarkable softness with breathable durability. Measuring approximately 28" X 80", the silhouette drapes naturally whether layered for travel, quiet mornings, or cool evenings outdoors.
The cashmere fibers begin high in the Himalayan region, where Chyangra goats naturally shed their fine undercoats each spring. Artisans carefully gather, clean, and spin the fibers using time-honored methods before weaving each textile by hand. Subtle tonal variation and gentle texture are inherent to the process, giving every piece its own quiet individuality.
Natural dyes and understated woven character reflect the surrounding Himalayan landscape: stone, earth, winter light, and mountain air woven quietly into textile form.
More than an accessory, this piece reflects the preservation of generational craftsmanship and meaningful artisan employment. Through Ethik's artisan partnerships in Nepal, women makers are supported through fair wages, long-term cooperative relationships, and sustainable economic opportunity.
Part of our Personal Styling: Handwoven Cashmere Collection, this scarf layers beautifully with wool outerwear, linen shirting, structured coats, and quiet neutral palettes.
Due to its handmade nature, slight variations in weave, tone, and texture are considered part of the authenticity and beauty of each piece.
